1789年に実際に起こった船の乗っ取り事件。多少、サスペンスっぽい部分はあるものの、基本的には事実が淡々と述べられていき、主人公が誰なのかも定まっていないので、ぶつ切り感あり。文章は平易で、メル・ギブソン出演の映画からのカットがたくさん挿入されているので、場面が想像しやすく、入門書としてはオススメ。
